- Monitor the production processes, drawing up a production schedule
- Ensure that the production cost is effective
- Make sure that the products are produced on time and are of good quality
- Work out the human and material resources needed
- Draft a timescale for the job
- Monitor the production process and adjust schedules as needed
- Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programs
- Liaise between different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers
- Work with managers to implement the company’s policies and goals
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
- Supervise and motivate a team of workers
